Meet the staff

MELANIE COLEMAN, RDH – IMPLANT TREATMENT COORDINATOR
I was born and raised in southern Kentucky. I graduated from Western Kentucky University Dental Hygiene Program in 1994. I have truly enjoyed being in dentistry for over 20 years. When not at work I enjoy camping, knitting, weaving and riding the motorcycle with my wonderful husband, Dickie.
I have worked for Dr. Blanchard since 2001, first as a dental hygienist and now as the Implant Treatment Coordinator. I find being in a practice that puts patient education and comfort first to be very fulfilling. Watching people get excited about improving their dental health is the ultimate reward. I look forward to meeting with you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

I have been the patient coordinator for Dr. Blanchard since 2002 and have learned a great deal from my experiences with him. I have enjoyed working in the dental field and will be more than happy to help everyone with any questions that they might have. I look forward to working with you.

M’Liss Miller, RDH – Dental Hygienist

Cheryl P. Armstrong, RDH, CDA – Dental Hygienist
I have been in the dental field since 1984. I started out as an office trained dental assistant and worked enough hours to test and obtain my national dental assisting certification (CDA). I worked a s a CDA for 17 years in general, pediatric, and oral surgery practices. During this time I determined that I wanted to become a registered dental hygienist (RDH). After our daughter graduated from high school and started attending college I decided that is was time for me to attend college also. I graduated from Wayne Community College in 2003 and then took state and national boards to obtain my RDH certification and licenses. I have been working as a registered dental hygienist since that time and have been working with Dr. Blanchard since 2007. I have a license to practice dental hygiene in North Carolina and Virginia.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve optimum dental health. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone work hard and realize his or her goals.

Kali FOREMAN-Surgical Assistant
I was born in Media, PA and moved to Hertford, NC for my dad’s job in 1998. I grew up with a passion for animals and the outdoors. We raised goats and pigs which I showed for the 4-H Livestock. I also participated in showing horses throughout Eastern NC in Western Pleasure. I now reside in Elizabeth City with my husband, little girl, dog, two horses and cats. I enjoy spending most of my free time at the barn and with my family.
I started out my college career with Culinary Technology and also Veterinary Assisting. I had a small specialty cake business I did out of my home and trained horses on the side. I started working for Dr. Blanchard in 2014 and have since dropped the side businesses. I truly fell in love with the dental world and can’t imagine doing anything else!
I look forward to meeting and being able to help our patients in every way!
I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. We spent many summers at the beach and I moved to the Outer Banks permanently over 20 years ago. I live with my husband Mike and our sons Jaden and Ashton. We spend as much time at the beach as we can.
In my spare time I enjoy camping, boating, reading and spending time with family and friends.
After high school I attended dental assisting school. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful job that I love. I look forward to greeting and helping patients to provide them with a great dental experience.
I was born into a military family and have lived in various places, however I have called Eastern North Carolina home since 1994. I graduated from Northeastern High School and later from the college of the Albemarle with my associates Degree in Occupational Technology and a Certificate in Surgical Technology in 2006. I’m certified thru the national Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. I joined the practice in the fall of 2019 as one of Dr. Blanchard’s Dental Assistants. I find great joy in building relationships with my patients while assisting Dr. Blanchard in helping them achieve their optimal oral health and creating healthy smiles.
When not in the office I enjoy spending time with my husband Wes, two daughters Kayleigh and Brilee, and sweet pups Roxy and Binx. I enjoy reading, photography and learning how to cook new recipes. if you can’t find me , it’s because I’m out on the boat soaking in the sun and waves or waiting for the next big catch!
