Dr. Blanchard has been in private practice for almost 30 years. He is a native of the Tidewater area of Virginia where his father was a practicing periodontist. After earning a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from Hampton-Sydney College, he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Medical College of Virginia Dental School. He then took a residency position at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Periodontics where he received specialty training in periodontics, intravenous sedation, and advanced training in dental implantology. He is a member of many professional organizations and is committed to continuing his education to remain abreast of the latest techniques and technology.
My treatment philosophy is simply to treat patients as conservatively as possible to achieve optimal comfort, esthetics and long term success.
