Laser surgery has replaced conventional “blade” surgery for a number of periodontal and implant procedures. Many laser procedures can be done with only a topically applied anesthetic. There is little or no bleeding and less tissue damage than with a blade. This results in less post-op pain and faster healing. The laser can also be used to give immediate relief of pain from Canker sores and some other oral ulcerations.
Not all conditions are amenable to laser treatment. Dr. Blanchard and his staff are happy to discuss this and other treatment options with you during your consultation.
